Shaljam Gosht Recipe (Turnip and Meat Curry)
Tender meat. Sweet turnips. Thick gravy.
Recipe by Farwa ZeeshanTested in the NineFoods home kitchenShaljam gosht is a Punjabi winter dish where turnips melt into the meat gravy and make it sweet and thick. It fails when the turnips taste sharp or bitter. The fix is choosing small, firm turnips and lightly frying them before adding to the meat.
